Dealing With Stress
My name is Emily-Rose Pappas. I am 14 years old and am homeschooled. I love drawing and reading and spending time with friends and family.
Stress. One of the things we dread most of all. Going through our lives, we come across many “problems”. The problems could be anywhere from school, that guy or girl you’ve had a crush on, or even problems within your family.
But if you look at God’s Word, you can see in Psalms 23 and Luke 12: 22-31 that stress is not something God wants you to burden yourself with. Think of that song from the movie Frozen called “Let it Go”. That’s exactly what you need to do with stress. Let it go, don’t conceal it and try to not let anyone know what you are going through. Talk about it.
God wants you to talk with him about everything, even if it seems really dumb to you at first. Instead of keeping all that “swirling storm of stress” inside, LET IT GO!! Just talk about it with God and your parents. See, stress is pointless. The Bible says in Luke 12: 25-26 that you can’t add a day to your life with worry, so why have stress and worry about something that will definitely get better? You’ll figure it out. Don’t worry, you got this.
