Something Special About Christianity...
A little bit about me: My name is Mike DiPietro, I attend Saint Peter Marian High School and am in the 11th grade. In my spare time I do a variety of things. I fence, play video games, or practice guitar. Some of you may know me from the Band in Church or at the Youth Group. I tend to enjoy conversation and talking to new people so if any of you know of me feel free to come talk to me sometime about my posts or anything really. Hope to hear from some of you.
I don't know if anyone else is familiar with the verse in the Bible where it talks about how life as a Christian will not be easy. So often it is mentioned that Christians are so heavily persecuted in foreign countries and this is true. But it is true here in America too. You might be wondering how that is true now.
Well I'm not exactly sure who reads this blog so I don't know if you use social media very often. I use G+ often enough to notice a few things. For some reason, every day, I see at least one anti-Christianity post. Why is that? Christian morals are more or less what our law and moral systems are based off of but for some reason people feel the need to hate Christians. I have even asked some people why they are so anti-Christianity and the only two reasons I ever get are "I don't really know." or "because it's all lies." The latter I will usually counter with "well if you think Christianity is all lies don't you think most religions are? why do you only hate on Christians?"
That is usually where there is a very long period of silence and my question is never answered. Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is that there is obviously something special about Christianity. The Bible predicts this persecution and as someone once said. "If so many people hate you, you must be doing something right."
