Holden Christian Academy seeks to be the Christian School of choice for the families in our area. Fall Fundraiser
This year in late September and early October, HCA held its initial fundraiser of the new school year. As we have for the past few years we sold the popular Entertainment Book, which is full of valuable coupons to local stores, restaurants, and activities. New this year was the addition of Flower Power Bulbs to the sale. Flower Power Bulbs come in a wide variety, and arrive quickly, ready for planting in your favorite garden or corner of your yard. Thanks to all of the student and familes who participated in selling, and to all HCA friends who supported our school by making a purchase.
Annual Fund
This appeal takes place in the late fall and winter, and reaches out to all of HCA's family and friends. Proceeds go towards closing "the gap" between what HCA spends to educate children and what HCA takes in through tuition payments. The 2010 Annual Fund will kick off on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Pledge cards have been mailed to all current participants in the HCA annual fund, and we always welcome new supporters of our educational mission. Donations can also been made online on our Annual Fund web page. Know of someone HCA should be approaching about the Annual Fund? International Banquet
Scheduled for the evening of April 8, 2010, the HCA International Banquet will be a time of fellowship for the friends and families of HCA, as well as a celebration of the many ways God has blessed our school over the past year. Donations made at this dinner will go toward the 2010-2011 HCA Tuition Assistance Fund, which enables families to send their children to HCA, who otherwise could not attend due to financial hardship. In the 2009-2010 school year over $52,000 in assistance was awarded. Last years Renaissance Banquet provided over $16,000 in support to the Tuition Assistance Fund, a total we hope to see exceeded this spring. Send in those BoxTops! Found on many grocery and household items, they add up quickly and earn HCA money to be used for classroom supplies or special programs. This year we have earned over $400.00. Send them in a sealed envelope or bag and include your child's name and grade.
Funding Factory Send in your empty inkjet cartridges, laser printer cartridges, and cell phones. HCA mails them for recycling and the company sends us a check!
Shaw's Neighborhood Rewards
Help HCA out with every purchase at Shaw's! With your Shaw's Rewards card handy, visit the Neighborhood Rewards website. Log in using the number on your Rewards Card. Link your purchases with HCA by entering our schools' Neighborhood Rewards ID Number: 49001019309. HCA receives a quarterly check for 1% of the elegible purchases made by shoppers who have desgnated HCA as their supported organization.
