The Purpose of this ministry to couples remains: to support strong marriage relationships, to provide growth opportunities and encouragement for husband and wives as they encounter the everyday trials of their relationships and to offer hope and counsel for troubled and hurting marriages. MLM also aids engaged couples in forming a firm biblical foundation upon which to build a Christ-centered, one flesh union that continues to grow and flourish, becoming an example of a true biblical marriage relationship.
To this end, we seek to offer: fellowship, when possible; counsel, when sought after; support, when needed and help with every aspect of life as opportunity presents itself, all to the enrichment of marriages at Holden Chapel and beyond.
It is our desire to go beyond merely events to attend and things to do, and expand to that which touches the heart of the marriage relationship. Through seminars, bible studies and adult education classes, we offer opportunities to learn and grow in Christ. With emphasis upon that which concerns us as husband and wife, we will continue to approach those things that affect our households with earnest desire to "Learn of Him" in order that we may bring harmony to our marriages and glory to Almighty God.
We believe that maintaining a marriage requires a persistent and determined effort aided by the support and counsel of those with whom we fellowship, study and pray.
In these days in which marriage is defamed, marginalized and redefined, it is imperative that we take an uncompromised stand for that which has been established and sanctified by God, transcending all definition and law offered by a society that accepts any reason or justification to abdicate responsibility to covenant vows. In short, we as Christians must demonstrate a better way by how we live our lives.
