Small Group Ministry

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts praising God.
Acts 2:46

What is a Small Group?

A Small Group is a regular gathering of 3 to 12 people or more who meet together with a view to encourage and support one another in living the daily Christian life.  Most groups meet for 6-8 weeks and then take 2 weeks off.  Many of our Chapel groups are open, so you may be able to join at any time. Contact the Chapel for more information.

What happens at a Small Group?

The objective of our groups is to:

  • grow as disciples of Jesus Christ
  • build godly relationships
  • encourage and support one another

We do this through

  • times of fellowship
  • prayer
  • Bible study and application
  • worship
What types of Groups are available?

- Home groups
Being a regional church, we have groups throughout the county and the city of Worcester.  About one-half of our home groups include children.  Most groups meet weekly or bi-weekly and are a mixture of couples and singles.

- Support groups

  • Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) is open to adults aged 55 and older.  They meet occasionally for social events and trips together.
  • DivorceCare is intended to help the separated and divorced to bring their lives back together again and experience healing and wholeness in Christ Jesus.
  • DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K) is intended to help children between the ages of 5 and 12 deal with their feelings about their parents divorce or separation.
  • Recovery Groups for those struggling with addiction.
  • GriefShare for those who have lost a close loved one and needs help walking through the grieving process.
  • Play Group is a place for mothers of small children to come together for fellowship and friendship.

- Men's groups
Men's groups meet throughout the region.  Most meet early in the morning either near work or on their way to work.

- Women's groups
In addition to the Women's Minstries larger gatherings, we have several small groups that come together locally to study a Christian book and/or Bible application.
