Building Women's Relationships on the Foundation of God's Word

The goal of Women's Ministry is to encourage women in their spiritual growth and discipline by providing opportunities for fellowship and sharing the love of Christ with others.

Bible Studies

Throughout the year we offer Bible Studies just for women. The topics vary but are always beneficial in a number of ways. It helps us to connect with other Christian women for encouragement. We benefit from the truth of God's Word we discover together. God's Word gives us His perspective on our daily lives. We find joy, peace, and strength as we grow closer to God and closer to one another as sisters in the Lord.

We are currently studying Beth Moore's program called "Breaking Free" on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Childcare is available upon request.

Women's Retreat

Each year Holden Chapel provides the women with an opportunity to "get away" for a weekend retreat. Retreats are usually held in the spring.

These events generally start on Friday evening, and end after lunch on Sunday. They consist of several teaching sessions, praise and worship, and a wide variety of fellowship opportunities.

Our 2008 retreat will be May 2nd & 3rd. Save the dates - details will be coming soon.

Mentoring

Our deside is to build relationships between women that will encourage personal and spiritual growth. Please contact a Women's Ministry leader if you wish to participate in a mentoring relationship.

Events

Various events take place throughout the year where we come together to get to know each other better. Some of our past events have been a River Kayak trip, a Christmas cookie swap, and a Jewelry making day. Please check our bulletin board in the Community Room for a listing of upcoming events.
