Building Women's Relationships on the Foundation of God's Word
"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12:30-31
The goal of Women's Ministry is to encourage women in their spiritual growth and discipline by providing opportunities for fellowship and sharing the love of Christ with others.
Bible Studies
Throughout the year we offer Bible Studies just for women. The topics vary but are always beneficial in a number of ways. It helps us to connect with other Christian women for encouragement. We benefit from the truth of God's Word we discover together. God's Word gives us His perspective on our daily lives. We find joy, peace, and strength as we grow closer to God and closer to one another as sisters in the Lord.
Women's Retreat
Each year Holden Chapel provides the women with an opportunity for a weekend retreat. Retreats are usually held in the spring.
These events consist of several teaching sessions, praise and worship, and a wide variety of fellowship opportunities.
Our desire is to build relationships between women that will encourage personal and spiritual growth. Please contact a Women's Ministry leader if you wish to participate in a mentoring relationship.
Events
Various events take place throughout the year where we come together to get to know each other better. Some of our past events have been a River Kayak trip, a Christmas cookie swap, and a Jewelry making day.
We hope you will join with us as a body to move forward in our call to become a House of Prayer for all nations.
We have planned many opportunities for you to grow in and practice prayer together leading up to Easter 2010!
