Missionary of the Month:
Wycliffe Bible Translators (Ministry Coordinators Eric and Julie Swanson) – Part 2: In 1989, Eric and Julie completed college, married and began their lives together as missionaries. They’ve served with several organizations since then; Eric has been involved in creative and technical roles, Julie as a homemaker and school teacher. The Swansons joined Wycliffe Bible Translators in 2009. They served in Papua New Guinea for four years – Eric as a videographer and Julie as a teacher in the primary school. In 2015, Eric’s job assignment changed to video production for the Distance Education Department of the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics (GIAL) in Dallas, Texas. GIAL serves the Bible translation movement by offering specialized training in anthropology, literacy, translation, world arts, and international service. We are honored as a church to invest in Bible translation as part of their team through our tithes and offerings.

This Week’s Scripture:
The Word of God is our Christian lifeline to Him. It is our spiritual nourishment that enables us to grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Prior to service this week, please read and reflect on Acts 6:8-7:60. Here is an excerpt from this passage:
When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. "Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God." (Acts 7:54-56)
