Malawi Mission Trip in Need of Your Prayers:
About the Mission Trip: HC church member, Ennette Heaggans, has been called by the Lord to go on a mission’s trip to Malawi at the end of this month. Malawi has only a few local believers and these believers sacrificially give to the work of Christ—offering gifts of eggs, rice, or vegetables from their gardens—but are too poor to sustain and grow the work of the ministries. That is where missionaries, like Ennette, step in to help indigenous ministries expand their outreach.
About Malawi and its People: Malawi is a landlocked country in Southeastern Africa, is the one of world's most destitute area, and has many unreached people. The infant mortality rate is high and the life expectancy low, as Malawi is plagued with a high rate of HIV/AIDS. These people are not just looking for economical help. One evangelical team recently saw how hungry the people were for the Word of God. “We saw the Lord moving at each meeting with His power, and everywhere we went, we saw many got saved and set free and healed during prayer,” the native ministry leader said.
How Can We Help? Pray that the gospel would transform the lives of the people of Malawi. Pray that, as the gospel takes root, the plagues of poverty and disease would loosen their grip, and the people would flourish. Ask God to grant wisdom to native believers who are working to combat these afflictions. Pray for support and resources for indigenous Christians who seek to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have never heard His name and to disciple those who have professed Him as their Savior. Finally, pray that God’s provision is abundant for Ennette’s trip where she will need to buy bibles, school supplies, blankets, etc.
For anyone who wishes to contact Ennette, her email is enny_2004@yahoo.com.
The Missions Committee is giving $1,500 of support money to this mission.
This Week’s Scripture:
The Word of God is our Christian lifeline to Him. It is our spiritual nourishment that enables us to grow and boldly spread the word about our Lord Jesus Christ. In preparation for this week’s sermon, please read and reflect on Acts 15:31-41. See a verse below:
39 They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed off to Cyprus.
